Subscription Box

Subscribing to the Oceanista™ subscription box is simple. Once you're on the Oceanista™ subscription box ordering page in Step 1, you should choose whether you want to subscribe to our Seasonal Subscription Plan (receive a box every 3 months) or our Pre-Paid One-Year Subscription Plan (4 seasons/4 boxes). Note: you will save 10% when subscribing to our One-Year Subscription Plan!

If you choose to subscribe seasonally (every 3 months), click that box and it will highlight. Once you've made your selection, Step 2 will appear to customize your box. From there you can "CONTINUING SHOPPING" or "CHECK OUT". You will receive an email about your subscription.

Due to our boutique-style customization and curation process, it may take us as long as 3 weeks to ship your box. If the themed Season is SOLD OUT, we will send you our Welcome Box which will still have a Featured Artisan and our TOP, highly sought after items in it! If you would rather wait for the following upcoming seasons box, please notify us asap at VIP@oceanista.com so we do not send you our Welcome Box. Keep in mind, however, your first box may not ship for 2 months. You will not be billed for a second box until after you 've received your first and we always process orders in advance in order to purchase your customized items for the upcoming season. Please see our Billing FAQs section for more details.

Due to our boutique-style customization and curation process, along with the availability of handmade products we find from Featured Artisans every season, we bill our customers 21 days in advance. This gives us the exact idea of the number of customized items and crafts we order from vendors and crafters. We appreciate your patience during our curation process. We know you will LOVE everything in your box!

Our subscription box billing and shipping schedule is as follows:

Fall Box (Sept/Oct/Nov)

  • Order Cut-off Date: August 15th
  • Auto-Bill August 15th
  • Auto-Ships September 5th

Winter Box (Dec/Jan/Feb)

  • Order Cut-off Date: November 15th
  • Auto-Bill November 15th
  • Auto-Ships December 5th

Spring Box (Mar/Apr/May)

  • Order Cut-off Date: February 15th
  • Auto-Bill February 15th
  • Auto-Ships March 5th

Summer Box (June/July/Aug)

  • Order Cut-off Date: May 15th
  • Auto-Bill May 15th
  • Auto-Ships June 5th

Unless the Season is SOLD OUT, boxes are shipped within 3 weeks of ordering or on the date stated “Auto Ships” every season and you will receive an email with tracking information as soon as your box ships.

Example 1: If you Subscribe/Order our box on November 25th, 10 days after the scheduled Cut-off date and Auto-Bill date of November 15th, you would receive our Welcome Box, unless we are not SOLD OUT of that Seasons Box. 

Example 2: Subscribe on May 3rd and you will be scheduled to receive your Summer Box.

Note: Subscriptions Boxes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and supplies may be limited. If supplies are out, you would be notified and scheduled to receive our Welcome Box which would ship within 2 weeks.

You can expect to receive 4-7 hand-picked beach/nautical inspired essentials such as jewelry, exclusively designed artisan pieces, beauty products, beach apparel such as cover-ups, flip flops, mermaid must-have’s, Oceanista exclusives, and other surprise items in every box.


Annual Subscribers always receive extra bonuses in their box!

Simply shoot us an email at customercare@oceanista.com with a photo and we'll send out a replacement to you.

We offer one-time gift box purchases or an annual gift subscription (4 boxes total) to be sent as gifts along with a personalized message from you in each box. One-time gift box purchases and gift subscriptions are paid for in full up front, so there are no recurring charges associated with a gift subscription after it ends. And best of all, gift purchases are eligible to earn you Sand Dollar Rewards™ toward an Oceanista Box for yourself!

Once you are on the Oceanista™ subscription box ordering page, click the box that either says "Gift-A-Box" or "Gift Subscription". You will then be sent to check-out. Complete your order by filling in your billing information and where you would like your gift shipped. You will only be billed one time and the gift recipient will receive one box, or one box every season for one full year; depending on your selection. One-time Gift-A-Box purchases are not customizable, but don't get salty just yet, because we still curate each box with our top selling items and place a gift note in your box! Annual Gift Subscriptions are curated just like our main subscription program with a customizable gift note in the first box, and no two boxes will ever be alike!

Annual Gift Subscription Information: Due to our boutique-style customization and curation process, it may take us as long as 3 weeks to ship your gift recipients first box. If the themed Season is SOLD OUT, we will send her first box as a Welcome Box which will still have a Featured Artisan and our TOP, highly sought after items in it! If you would rather wait for your gift recipient to receive the following upcoming seasons box, please notify us asap at VIP@oceanista.com so we do not send her our Welcome Box. Keep in mind when choosing this option, however, her first box may not ship for 2 months. Either way, it's all Good Vibes!

We're sorry to see you go but if you need to cancel your subscription you may do so at any time by clicking "Manage Subscription" at the bottom of the website, logging into your account, and clicking cancel subscription. Please note, if you have already ordered a box and been billed for the season or annual subscription, and prepaid ahead of time, you will still receive your final shipment(s) however you will not be billed any further.

Other Questions

Shipping is always FREE for orders over $100. Subscription boxes ship for a flat rate of only $4.95! We charge a $5.95 flat rate shipping fee for all other orders placed on our site with the exception of our subscription boxes!

If you need to skip a season or make changes to your subscription, simply login to your customer account at any time by clicking "Manage Subscription" at the bottom of our website. Once there, you can make changes to your shipping address, credit card info, skip a season and more. If you require assistance, please feel free to contact our customer care team of landlocked mermaids and we will be happy to assist you!

Sometimes our products ship directly from the manufacturer and many items are custom made when you place your order. For this reason, our shipping times can vary. Please allow 7-21 days for shipping. Many items can and do arrive much earlier than that, but please do not be alarmed if it takes the full 21 days. 

Oceanista's love cleaning up the beaches and we need your help! Clean Coasts is a program that we've started to get others involved with beach clean up by utilizing our 100% recyclable box in doing so. Posting your Oceanista box full of debris items on the beach helps our initiative go viral and best of all you have the option of receiving a free gift in your next box or we will donate a portion of our proceeds from your box to the Ocean Institute on your behalf! We are excited about this initiative and hope you and many others will get involved!

If you ordered more than one item, your items may arrive in separate shipments if they are produced by different manufacturers. 

You can begin using your Sand Dollars™ as soon as you've reached 500 reward points! Or stash them up for as much as $100 in rewards! Simply log in to your Account and you will be able to keep track and spend your Sand Dollars™ an way you choose!

The Golden Anchor Program™ is the chance for subscribers of our seasonal subscription box to win a FREE piece of jewelry or beach item!
