Jamie Marcath with Wanderlust Leather

Hi, my name is Jamie and I am the owner and creator of Wanderlust Leather. My business was founded on my two passions, traveling and crafting. I wanted to make a product that could possibly travel to the other side of the world, and to places I have only dreamed of. Little did I know, in a few short years, I would have thousands traveling the globe. Some to places I have never even heard of, that is just amazing to me, and more than I ever hoped for! I have met so many awesome people on this journey so far, and I cannot wait to see where this journey takes me. Each piece is completely handcrafted with love by me! I cut my leather from large hides, etch each design with my own creative talent, then paint, condition, and assemble. There are no fancy machines, just me doing what I love in my little home office!
It is truly my passion to make these everlasting keepsakes, and love that their stories continue on through the scratches and scrapes along the way.

Oceanista is super delighted to feature Jamie again for our Limited Edition 'Wanderlust" Box! Her custom designed leather luggage tags are one-of-kind and truly unique! The time she spent creating this exclusive piece for Oceanista was certainly a task and we appreciate all of her hard work for making this collaboration happen!

We hope you enjoy these beautifully handcrafted leather tags. This keepsake will go on many journeys and it'll be something to keep in your family for generations to come.

'Tis the Sea-Sun'

Jen Deane with Ginger N Glow

Hi there! I’m Jenifer, the owner and designer of GingerNGlow. I grew up vacationing in Florida and loved everything beach & sun. We were lucky to move to the sunny south in 2016, and have never been happier. My creative side came out when both kids were older and I was looking for something to keep me busy. My love for essential oils drew me to start making diffuser bracelets. I wanted to make something useful and reminded me of the ocean. My signature look came from using whites, creams, aqua gemstones, mixed with natural materials like shells and stones, to give you that perfect Boho Beach look. Each piece is unique. I hope you love your custom bracelet made just for Oceanista members.

Oceanista is extremely delighted to feature Jenifer Deane's handmade bracelet in our box this season. She designed this piece exclusively for our members, and we love that you can add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil to the lava beads, reminding you of the sea this winter.

"Just Like Paradise"

Elizabeth Mason with EJM Designs

In these abstracts I wanted to capture the spirit of the ocean so the wearer can carry a small reminder of the beach that evokes memories of her own favorite spot.

Originally from England, Elizabeth has lived and worked in five countries and loves to travel and explore new places. This fabulous mix of experiences, influences and cultures have inspired her creatively through many artistic passions, including painting and photography. But it was several years spent in Bermuda that led to her particular love of the ocean. It was in Bermuda that she discovered the joy of beachcombing for seaglass, an experience that launched her jewelry-making journey. While sea glass remains the focus of her jewelry designs, Elizabeth’s collection has expanded to include a range of other coastal-inspired jewelry and gifts, including jewelry that features her photography of coastal and beach scenes, as well as coastal ornaments and home decor. The “Ocean Abstracts” collection, which includes our featured Tropical design, uses photography to evoke the healing magic of the beach, rather than being a representational image of a specific location.

Dreaming of the sea? Now you can carry a little souvenir of the beach with you wherever you go! This tropical sun, sand and sea design is one of the Ocean Abstracts Collection that features coastal photographs taken by Elizabeth of EJM Designs. Each photo evokes the timeless and healing nature of the ocean waves lapping the shore. The photo is printed using archival paper and ink and is hand-set by Elizabeth behind a piece of beveled glass within a silver bezel pendant tray. The pendant is 2.5 inches long and hangs on an 18" sterling silver chain with 2" extension.

Nola Watkins with The Nola Watkins Collection

We have traveled extensively around the United States on a circuit of craft shows that has helped showcase all of our artwork including our pottery and ornaments; and over the years, Homeplace Creations has evolved into “The Nola Watkins Collection” focusing mainly on our colorful and unique Christmas ornaments.

Homeplace Creations was the original name for the company started by Nola Watkins in Halifax, Virginia in 1991 producing a wide variety of hand-painted ceramic pottery at the family dining room table. Nola started drawing and painting as a child and has always found a lot of pleasure from her artwork and the creative process. The “Snowman” design you see in her collections is a drawing on a Christmas card she made when she was seven years old which she was particularly fond of. Many other inspirations for her painting come from Blue Ridge Pottery, which was hand-painted pottery from the ‘20’s to the ‘50’s made in Erwin, Tennessee. Nola also has a style that often reflects a whimsical and fun theme relating to her nature.

"Come Sail Away"

Kristin Royster with Set Sail by Kristin

Hi, my name is Kristin and I am the owner of Set Sail by Kristin! Growing up, my favorite things were painting, sailing, and traveling, but I always dreamed of owning my own business when I grew up, so I started making jewelry. Jewelry is a great way to express yourself because it can be so unique. After I finally landed on my beach theme, resin jewelry became popular and was finally able to merge my love of painting and jewelry! After living in Hawaii for 8 years, I met my husband and we moved to San Diego, rescued two dogs from the shelter, and started my business full-time! I hope you love your Beach Resin Bracelet!

In this seasons box, we are excited to feature one of Kristin's beautiful handmade jewelry pieces. The beach and ocean scene is embedded into the resin and painted by hand, making it a one of a kind bracelet. The adjustable vegan suede leather cord allows for extra comfort and can expand to 9 inches in circumference. Three colors to choose from, because we had trouble choosing just one!

Kristin has been a pleasure to work with. She has an extremely kind and laidback spirit that we've grown to love here at Oceanista. She is passionate about her artwork and it shows in every piece she creates down to the packaging.

Whitney Brumley

Hi! I am Whitney and the creator of WLB Designs. After a few years of helping friends and family decorate their front doors with wreaths, I finally took the leap to offering my creations to everyone on Etsy. I grew up and now live in Southern California where I spent many days on or in the water. While I am probably the worst sketch artists ever, I love creating ocean inspired pieces and when I found resin I just couldn't stop creating these totally unique and realistic seashores. From coasters to states, cheeseboards to extra large wall art, I love adding a little slice of the beach to every home I send my pieces to - without all the annoying sand that usually comes along with!

After following Whitney’s Instagram page for months, I knew we needed one of her art pieces in our box! Go check out her art process videos on her page and see the ocean come to life in her resin artwork. Wow! When I found out she lived only 15 minutes away from me, I said to myself, “It’s meant to be!” I can’t thank Whitney enough for putting up with all of my requests in making these Beach Art resin coasters/trivets work in this season’s box. This is by far Oceanista’s most rewarding project. The end result is ahhhh-mazing, and I am so glad we pushed through it so each and every one of our members can enjoy her special beach scene crafts for themselves. Please visit Whitney at her Etsy shop and social media sites to purchase more of her lovely crafts!

Amy Toroni with Redwood Coastal Design

Hi! My name is Amy and I live on a mini farm in Northern California. The coast here is rugged and lined with a redwood rain forest. It's a great place for hiking, kayaking, and viewing nature. There are so many beaches to visit it's hard to choose one favorite. I love spending much of my extra time beach combing for driftwood, shells, and seaglass. Creating eclectic art with up-cycled materials is a passion of mine. Most of my designs are created with sustainable and eco-friendly materials from various sources. I deeply appreciate the positive feedback, messages, and support from my customers who keep me inspired to continue creating unique pieces for my shop.

We are so excited to have Amy featured in our winter box! Amy is the epitome of an Oceanista. The natural environment she resides in provides her the lifestyle every beach girl dreams about. Every subscriber will receive her handcrafted beautiful and beachy driftwood capiz shell ornaments in their box. Abalone beads give this ornament an island feel making it perfect for the Hawaiian theme this season. We know you will love and appreciate her designs as much as we do!

Kate Shore with Kate Shore Fine Art

Hi! I’m Kate Shore, a painter specializing in coastal-inspired abstract art. Being near the water soothes me like nothing else, and I aim to bring that same sense of calm into my paintings. When you see my artwork on your wall, I want it to feel like a breath of fresh air. With a background in painting scenery and props for theaters and theme parks, I’ve been wielding a paint brush for as long as I can remember. But after having my son in 2018, I found myself just wanting to paint for the sake of doing something creative (aka non-baby related), and I fell in love with what showed up on the canvas! Since then, I’ve been creating abstract acrylic paintings, prints, and hand painted necklaces in my home studio in central Florida, where I live with my awesome husband, our crazy toddler, a dog who acts like a cat, and a cat who acts like a dog. And yes, my last name is really Shore! I didn’t start painting shorelines because of that, it just worked out that way :)

This fall season we teamed up with the lovely Kate Shore to bring you an exclusive art print called, “Daydreaming." Place this reproduction of her original painting in an 8x8 inch frame of your choice and whisk away into Bali bliss.
This professional giclée print is created using archival quality paper and inks. Not only are these matted and ready to frame, a limited edition quantity of 500 prints were created, individually numbered, signed, and dated by Kate.

We are so blessed for Kate and this rare painting. It captures the essence of the Oceanista lifestyle and our never-ending dreams of living in a beach hut by the seashore.

Kat Truax with Paradise Coast Hospitality Beads

Namaste. I’m Kat, the creator of Paradise Coast Hospitality Beads. Born a Pisces, I’m a natural daughter of the sea and am fortunate to have lived on both the lowcountry coast of South Carolina and the paradise coast of Florida. My original hospitality beads were created with gold, white, and “haint blue” hand painted wood beads. Living by the coast in Beaufort, SC, I learned of this color and its history, that the sea island’s Gullah people believed would keep away evil spirits. My hope is that I am able to make a difference by bringing a smile, some love, and a bit of sea blessing to as many people as possible.

We are so blessed to be featuring Kats hospitality beads in this seasons subscription box. Each strand that Kat creates are hand painted to order. On the paradise coast, she infuses them with love, peace, and positive energy. And speaking of making a difference, a portion of every purchase goes to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida to help preserve Florida's coast for future generations. We hope that you enjoy owning her beads and that they welcome guests to your home and bless all who enter with love, peace and positivity. Place them on your Christmas tree this year as an ornament, or place them on your doorknob to ward off evil spirits. Which ever way you decide to use them, you own a piece of the sea that you will have for years to come.

Betsy Ng with Baubles by Bets

Hi there! I’m Betsy, but most people call me Bets! I am a Canadian girl who loves many things but most importantly making crafts. My passion for crafts and jewelry started when I was younger. It started off with camp gimp bracelets then macrame and friendship bracelets. I couldn’t get enough of making bracelets. Making them for myself was fun but giving them to my friends was even more fun! My latest obsession is wire jewelry. I thought to myself “if my friends enjoy this, then maybe others will too!” That is when I decided to open up shop! Baubles By Bets was created in 2015. It features everything dainty, cute and handmade for someone special. I am constantly inspired and adding new pieces to my shop and that is why I believe no one has ever said “jewelry is boring” - because it is always changing! Lover of modern calligraphy, pasta and lots of naps. Follow me on instagram for daily doses of pretty things!

When we told our family and friends that we were featuring these dainty handmade seaglass rings in our Spring 2018 box, everyone gasped! We just love all of the beautiful designs that Bets creates. Everything is so dainty and the patience that must go into making such delicate things. We are in love with these and we had to have them in rose gold. We loved them so much, that we put two in different colors in each box! Adjust them to wear on your knuckle and different fingers, or wear them together. Click on the links above to check out her other dainty designs! Bets, your jewelry is definitely NOT boring!

"Seaside Holidays"

Beth Vuono with The Salty Shell

I founded The Salty Shell in 2012 and have gathered most of my inspiration from finding solace at the beach; it has always been a magical place for me. I would go there stressed about something and leave with a sense of renewal and clarity. I wanted to create a jewelry line that left you with that same peaceful and carefree feeling. I recently started The Luxury Line; a mix of shells and stones that really celebrate the beauty of nature. All of my jewelry uses either Sterling Silver ear wire or gold-plated steel with 14K gold-plated ear wire when available. It is my hope that every piece gives you the same sense of calm and carefree as the ocean does for me.

In this seasons box, we are excited to feature one of Beth's beautiful handmade jewelry pieces. A conch shell dipped in gold and carefully crafted for everyone of our subscribers. We chose the conch shell for it's history and the stories you hear when placing it up to your ear. Remember that time when you were a kid at the beach and you found one? We hope you will love this as much as we do.
